An accomplished trial attorney with more than 28 years’ experience, Christian E Markey III has acquired significant expertise in many areas of law over the course of his diverse education and career. Having received his bachelor’s degree with highest honors in political science at the University of California, Berkeley, Markey pursued legal studies at the University of Southern California Law Center, where he served as an editor for two law journals and was awarded the Charles M. Gayley Fellowship. In 1984, Christian Markey III received his juris doctor, and launched his professional career as a practicing attorney in Los Angeles.
For the next two decades, Christian E Markey III worked with a number of Los Angeles law firms and organizations and handled a wide variety of matters. Some of his career highlights include heading Goldman & Kagon’s Litigation Department for intellectual property, entertainment, and business litigation; successfully prosecuting eight jury trials with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office; handling all aspects of a $250 million real estate partnership lawsuit with the firm of Riley & Reiner; and leading a team of attorneys at Quisenberry & Kabateck LLP on two $40 million intellectual property cases for a Silicon Valley Fortune 100 client.
In recent years, Markey’s professional base has been Beverly Hills, and his activities have focused exclusively on family law. As the founder of the Law Offices of Christian E Markey III, which he established in 2009, he handles a broad range of complex family law matters and represents a variety of clients. He is also Of Counsel with Hersh, Mannis & Bogen, LLP, where he has specialized in high profile family law matters since 2006.
